SoundGecko gives publishers a way to convert their content to a convenient audio format, and distribute it to desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
As a SoundGecko developer, you take advantage of a rapidly growing platform that benefits your site by expanding its distribution to a broader audience and making it more accessible to readers.
The listen button is a small widget that allows readers of your website to easily listen to a page's content with SoundGecko.
Add an HTML anchor to your page followed by a snippet of Javascript to embed the listen page.
You can change the text of the button by simply setting the text in your HTML element.
To override the current page's URL being specified, set a specific URL to listen to by setting the data-url attribute in the HTML anchor to what you desire. Note: the URL specified must be a full URL and begin with http:// or https://.
To add a larger listen button simply add the soundgecko-large class to your HTML anchor.
The SoundGecko plugin for WordPress adds a listen button to each post on your WordPress site that when clicked allows readers to hear your post read out.
